At Pinnacle Ventures, Arun focuses on investments in a broad range of areas such as mobile, internet, media, and enterprise, where technology shifts are disrupting the markets.
Before joining Pinnacle Ventures in 2006, Arun spent over 8 years in various operating roles spanning strategic marketing, branding, product development, supply chain, and investments. In the Sales and Marketing Group at Intel, his focus was on strategic marketing and branding. Prior to that in the Technology and Manufacturing Group at Intel, he was responsible for product and supply chain development. During this time he also partnered with Intel Capital on investments to develop the ecosystem. Earlier in his career, he worked in product development at a startup, which was backed by DFJ and Intel Capital. Arun is currently involved with Pinnacle's investments in Fab, a fast-growing design-focused ecommerce company; TinyCo, a developer of F2P casual and midcore mobile games; Newport Media, the leading developer of RF SoC solutions for the wireless connectivity and broadcast markets; Work4Labs, the leading Facebook recruiting solution; Pentaho, the leading provider of open source BI solutions; Cobalt, a company developing plant-based specialty chemicals; Trivascular, the leader in EVAR technology; Chegg, the leader in online textbook rentals; and Shoedazzle. His prior involvements include WiChorus (TLAB) and Zecter (MOT/GOOG). Arun has an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India. aramamoorthy@pinnacleventures.com |
