Social-engagement advertising company SocialVibe Inc. announced
that co-founder Joe Marchese will return to the company as chief
executive.
Most recently, Mr. Marchese was senior vice president of
marketing and digital for Fuse Networks LLC. He was president of SocialVibe from
2006 to 2011.
Prior to SocialVibe, Mr. Marchese consulted and ran a practice
group specializing in digital publishing and advertising strategy. Mr. Marchese
began his career at Monster Worldwide Inc. and also was chairman of BlockBeacon,
now part of Dun& Bradstreet Corp.
SocialVibe, based in Los Angeles and New York, has raised $44
million to date, according to VentureWire records. In 2011 it received a $20
million Series D round led by Norwest Venture Partners, joined by existing
backers Jafco Ventures, Pinnacle Ventures and Redpoint
Ventures.
