Gadi Maier, Venture Consultant

Before joining Pinnacle, Gadi was a Venture Partner at Benchmark Capital. Prior to joining Benchmark, Gadi was a co-founder and the CEO of Scalent Systems. Before founding Scalent, Gadi was CEO, President and Chairman of the Board of GetThere, where he led its initial public offering as well as its sale to Sabre for $750 million. Immediately preceding GetThere, Gadi was Chief Executive Officer of Memco Software, leading its sale to Computer Associates in 1998 for $500 million. Prior to Memco, Gadi served as Vice President and General Manager for Cisco Systems and founded Oracle Japan ($10B IPO on the Nikkei) as well as held other senior management positions at Oracle. Before Oracle, Gadi held several senior management positions at Xidex Corp including General Manager of several foreign subsidiaries. He also worked on alternative energy strategy at the California Energy Commission and worked as a Principal in the co-generation division of the California Public Utility Commission. Gadi holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley with a BS in Natural Resource Economics.
